This beautiful adventure culminated with the return of the ‘Dos Santos’ family to Portugal, the home of their ancestors, and the discovery of a plot of land located between the picturesque villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, in the Algarve.

 

In February 2018, after cleaning the land and completing construction work, we opened the doors. With three hectares of new vineyards, one hectare of new olive trees, among the existing ones, cork oaks, almond and carob trees that have been carefully preserved. During the preparation and planting of the vineyards, an old irrigation system was found and later repaired. These charming canals have now been restored with natural stone.

 

Quinta Dos Santos is now home to buildings with contemporary architecture, designed to preserve the aesthetic sense of the past, framed by stunning views over the vineyard and surrounded by magnificent limestone walls.
